Equations of uniformly accelerated motion

1) First equation of motion

v = u+at

2) Second equation of motion

S = ut + 1/2 at2

3) Third equation of motion

v² = u² + 2aS

If a body starts from rest then u=0

If a body comes to rest then v=0

If a body moves with uniform velocity then a=0

u = Initial velocity of the body

v = Final velocity of the body

a = Acceleration

t = Time taken

S = Distance travelled by the body in time t
