Ex 8.1 Class 6 Maths Question 4. Write each of the following as decimals:
Answer
(a) 5/10 = 0.5
(b) 3 + 7/10 = 3 + 0.7 = 3.7
(c) 200 + 60 + 5 + 1/10 = 200 + 60 + 5 + 0.1 = 265.1
(d) 70 + 8/10 = 70 + 0.8 = 70.8
(e) 88/10 = 80/10 + 8/10 = 8 + 0.8 = 8.8
= 4 + 2/10 = 4 + 0.2 = 4.2
(g) 3/2 = (2+1) / 2 = 2/2 + 1/2 = 1 + 0.5 = 1.5
(h) 2/5 = 0.4
(i) 12/5 = (10+2)/ 5 = 10/5 + 2/5 = 2 + 0.4 = 2.4
