(1) Declarative Sentences
A declarative sentence makes a statement or expresses an opinion. A declarative sentence ends in a period (.)
A sentence that declares something is called declarative or assertive sentence.
Examples:
1) I want to be a Doctor.
2) Today I ate a mango.
3) Rita is my best friend.
4) I like red roses.
5) My favourite colour is pink.
6) He is going to the market.
7) The boy is playing with a ball.
8) My brother lives in Noida.
9) My mother is cooking food for us.
10) Teacher is teaching in the class.
11) The Moon moves around the Earth.
12) Animals and Human being need oxygen to breathe.
13) Ram and Shyam are Engineers.
14) The cow is a domestic animal.
15) We wear woollen clothes in winter.
16) I purchased a new dress Today.
17) He is not an intelligent boy.
18) I love to play with my pet dog.
19) The shape of clock is round.
20) The postman brought us letters.
(2) Imperative Sentences
A sentence that is used to express an order/ a wish / a request / a command / an advice / a suggestion / a proposal is called an imperative sentence.
An imperative sentence ends in an exclamation point (!) or a period (.). If the command is forceful, use an exclamation point. If the command is polite or it is a request, use a period.

1) Please turn off the lights.
2) You should help the poor.
3) Make sure to finish your homework before you go to bed.
4) Don’t forgot to send an email to me.
5) Get out of the class !me the truth
6) Don’t touch any exhibit in the museum.
7) Feed the pet animals.
8) Tell me the truth.
9) You must return the book to library.
10) Don’t make the classroom dirty.

(3) Interrogative Sentences
A sentence that asks a question and ends with a question mark ( ? ) is named interrogative sentence.
This type of sentence often begins with who, what, where, when, why, how, or do.

3) Do u want tea or coffee?
4) Why does the Sun shine?
5) What will you in summer vacations?
6) Where will they go in the evening ?
7) Will you read an english story book for me?

12) Will you call me tonight at seven ?

(4) Exclamatory Sentences
A sentence that expresses a strong and sudden feeling / emotion / excitement is said to be an exclamatory sentence.
It conveys our joys / sorrows / regrets / contempt / applaud / surprise / wonder.
It ends with an exclamation mark ( ! ).

3) The birthday cake was so tasty!
4) Alas! She is no more!
5) How beautiful is the peacock’s dance !
