Vacuoles
They are storage sacs for solid or liquid content. In animals cell, they are small and temporary. They store water, glycogen and proteins, single membrane maintain water balance.
In plant cell they are large distinct and permanent. The vacuole is bounded by a membrane called Tonoplast. It is filled with cell sap (watery substance rich in sugar, amino acids, proteins, minerals).
They provide rigidity and turgidity to cell.
